• Why does my ColorMyst Compressor have two pressure gauges?
The ColorMyst has an air tank pressure gauge and an air pressure regulator gauge, which both work in tandem to provide an equilibrium to the amount of air pressure throughout the compressor. The system pressure switch sets a maximum limit to this pressure and, "reading" the pressure gauge, signals the compressor to shut off automatically when necessary. As air is being used to push fluid through the airbrush, the pressure will drop and the compressor will turn back on to replinish the air supply.
The air pressure regulator gauge is the reading to be concerned about as the air tank pressure gauge is basically for informational purposes. Read the air pressure regulator gauge when establishing your desired pressure setting (generally 15-20 psi for airbrush spray tanning and 5-6 psi for airbrush makeup). To establish this pressure, pull the trigger all the way back, lift and turn the pressure regulator knob until the desired pressure setting is displayed. Keep in mind that when the trigger is in the off position, the static pressure will build up above the desired setting. Once the desired setting is found, lock it in by pushing back down on the knob.

• I think something is broken, what can I do?
Unfortunately, all pieces of equipment tend to break down from time to time and parts may need to be replaced to get the airbrush kit working again. More times than not, we receive calls about the compressor or the airbrush being broken when in reality it is nothing more than not being properly cleaned after daily use. So the first thing to fixing your compressor or airbrush is to figure out whether you have an acutal broken part or if the airbrush is severely clogged up. If the airbrush is not properly taken care of, it can easily produce issues related to the buildup of solution or other liquids inside of the airbrush, and might need to be disassembled and reassembled in order to get the airbrush working freely again. We have an entire manual page with instructions and videos dedicated to this process on our TurboAir TurboSpeed Maintenance page.
If you do find that it is your ColorMyst compressor that is not working properly, please contact us and we can attempt to troubleshoot over the phone with you or, if necessary, get needed information to replace or return the compressor.
